12+ Maldives And Minicoy Separated By

In December 1976 India and Maldives signed a maritime boundary treaty under which Minicoy was placed on the Indian side of the boundary. The Maldives is known in Europe mainly because of its resort hotels and beaches.

Historically part of what is today known as a separate nation Maldives Minicoy bears several similarities both culturally and linguistically to the Maldives.
