Saudi Arabia appears to show Kashmir as a nation separate from India or Pakistan in its new banknotes. The Indian authority conveyed that the map depiction of Kashmir on the Saudi note is a gross misrepresentation of a territory. Saudi Arabias independent Kashmir banknote infuriates India.

The world map on the notes background shows it as a separate country including the part of the territory under illegal Indian rule. The world map displayed on the backside of the note does not show Gilgit-Baltistan GB and Kashmir as parts of Pakistan.
